Worth the wait - Skirt steak
Carne Asada
This 24hr steak marinade recipe is worth the wait! Try it out on anything but especially Three16 Ranch Skirt, Flank , or Cube steak
Ingredients:
2lbs beef skirt steak (or substitute)
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
2tbs lime juice
2 cloves garlic
1tsp chili powder, cumin, paprika, dried oregano and black pepper
chopped cilantro
Steps:
Combine and stir all ingredients. Place beef into large plastic bag or container and pour in marinade. Marinade in fridge for up to 24hrs or as long as possible.
Cook steak as normal… heat large skillet to medium-high and grease pan with oil. Cut meat to fit in pan if necessary. Cook for 3+ min per side until done (medium rare suggested/ 135deg).
**This cook time is based on our smaller, thinner skirt steaks - adjust time for thicker steaks**
**Tips - let steaks sit at room temp for 5min after cooking before cutting/serving. Always cut/slice against the grain.
