Taco Pie with Grassfed Beef
This is a family (and guest) FAVORITE recipe that I recently wondered why I haven’t shared with you yet!
Add this to your list of recipes for healthy, grass fed, angus beef from Three16 Ranch! Best of all, this is quick and so easy you can teach your kids to make (use discretion, lol)!
Ingredients
2lbs ground beef
2 taco seasoning packets (simple truth fajita mix is great!)
1 - 12oz container of sour cream
2 cans of crescent rolls
2 cups of shredded Mexican cheese
**Of course, feel free to add other favorite taco ingredients or add them to the finished dish
Also, you can “half” the recipe! We like a large portion to share with guests or have left-overs!
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F
Line a 9 x 13 pan with crescent rolls (rolled out and mashed around the edges - sorry for poor instructions, I’m not a professional!)
Stab holes on crust with fork and bake for about 10 minutes - check and bake until just golden brown
As the crust is baking, brown ground beef and drain any grease
Mix in taco seasoning and instructed amount of water and finish mixing/cooking as instructed
Spread taco beef over prepared crust
Spread a desired amount of sour cream over taco beef (I leave a portion without sour cream as I have 1 daughter who prefers without)
Add cheese over top and cook for about 15min on 350F
There you have it… easy-peasy, delicious dinner. Serve with rice, add lettuce, taco sause, chips and salsa or whatever you desire!
